Oscar Alfredo Ruggeri, a name synonymous with grit, passion, and unwavering dedication, is an Argentine football legend. Born on January 26, 1962, “El Cabezón” (The Big Head), as he was affectionately known, etched his name into the annals of football history as a fearless defender and a pivotal figure in Argentina’s most glorious era.

Ruggeri’s professional career began at Boca Juniors in 1980, quickly establishing himself as a strong and commanding presence in the backline.
